Bhubneswar Kumar, Dipak Chahar and Harshal Patel also bowled well and restricted West Indies in just 157 runs. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opend the second innings for India and gave a boombastic start though Ishan Kishan was struggling but the Captain himself took all the responsibility in his own shoulder and scored 40 runs in just 19 balls and Ishan Kishan had lost his wicket at 35(42). At the end of the match trusted Surya Kumar Yadav and new commer Venkatesh Iyer finished the rest of the work. India was able to have a 6 wickets win in the inaugural match of the series.
